The Mr Knock Muay Thai gym is owned by Thepnimit Sitmonchai (also known as Kru Jun).
Thepnimit Sitmonchai started fighting at 8 years old, and he moved to the Sitmonchai gym in Kanchanaburi when he was 12 to take his career to the next level.
At Sitmonchai, he developed a punch-heavy “Muay Mat” fighting style (pressure, boxing, low kicks). He has a lot of experience with 242 fights, 163 wins, 104 knockouts.
He was ranked #2 at 118 lbs at Rajadamnern Stadium in 2015 and 2016, ranked #7 in the world by the WBC in 2017, and finished 3rd in the Toyota Revo Tournament (tied with Petchdam Petchyindee).
After retiring, he ran seminars in the U.S., Canada, Peru, Italy, Germany, Hungary, the U.K., and Thailand before opening his own camp.
Location of Mr Knock Muay Thai
The gym is located in a seaside town called Hua Hin.
Hua Hin is a few hours from Bangkok, and is accessible via busses and trains.
It’s a lot more laid back than the more popular tourist hotspots like Phuket and Pattaya, but it has enough conveniences (restaurants, malls, night markets, hospitals, golf courses etc) to make day to day life rather pleasant. It’s a very popular destination for retirees.
The gym is located at the top of soi 88. Located approximately 10-15 minutes from the city center.
The exact address is 343 Moo 1, Tambon Thap Tai, Amphoe Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan 77110
Getting there
- From Bangkok: van, bus, or train to Hua Hin is typically about 3–4 hours depending on traffic and departure point. Hua Hin also has a small airport, but it’s currently only serving inbound flights from Chiang Mai.
- From Hua Hin town / beach / Bluport / night market: Grab or taxi is the simplest (roughly 15 minutes). A scooter is the most practical day-to-day option once you are settled.
- There is no subway or sky train in Hua Hin. Ride share apps and the Songthaew will be your go-to public transportion options.
Trainers and Fighters
Mr Knock Muay Thai is relatively new, having opened in 2024, so they don’t have a stable of fighters competing at the major Bangkok stadiums.
They do however have students competing on local Hua Hin cards, and if you’re at a high-level skill wise, I would think Thepnimit Sitmonchai has the connections get you into the prestigious Bangkok stadiums as he competed there many times himself.
The head trainer is Thepnimit himself (of course), and he has a team of approximately 5 other trainers who also train students. Obviously this will fluctuate based on how busy they get.
