Phuket Fight Club is owned by a Brazilian entrepreneur named Kleiton. When it opened in 2013, it was originally called Manop Gym, as it was named after “Manop Yuangjai”. Manop was one of Saenchai’s long term trainers, and he now runs Manop gym in Chiang Mai.

Shortly after, the gym was associated with Elite Fight Club, and was rebranded as such. When the deal with Elite Fight Club ended, the name of the gym changed from Elite Fight Club to Phuket Fight Club.

Location of Phuket Fight Club

Phuket Fight Club is situated in the Chalong sub-district of Phuket. It’s approximately 3.5km away from the infamous “fitness street” (soi-taied) where there are about a dozen other Muay Thai gyms.

Address: 19/2 (or sometimes listed as 19/3) Moo 3 Soi Palai, Chalong, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83130, Thailand. Situated on the quieter Soi Palai (near Phuket Zoo). The waterfront/pier is only a few hundred meters away and the Chalong Robinson Lifestyle mall is roughly 2 km away.

The head trainer at the gym is Leo Elias. He is a former fighter who used to train and fight out of the Sasiprapa gym in Bangkok. Originally from Brazil, he is also a BJJ Black Belt.

He has trained extensively at Phuket Fight Club under Leo Elias, particularly for his ONE Championship camps in recent years.

Kiewpayak Jitmuangnon: This is Panpayak’s younger brother. He is also a former lumpinee stadium champion and “fighter of the year” award winner (2019).

Both of the brothers still carry the “Jitmuangnon” name, which is a gym based in Nonthaburi (just outside of Bangkok), but they spend a lot of time training in Phuket.

Facilities

The gym has expanded a lot since its early inception, and the owner now claims to have the best facility in Thailand.

I haven’t been there yet to check it out, but they have multiple rings and training areas (Muay Thai and BJJ), as well as a swimming pool, sauna, ice bath/cold plunge, strength & conditioning space, on-site gear shop, and changing facilities.

Accommodation Options

They do have rooms on-site that you can book as part of their training packages, but the gym is in a convenient location with dozens of other gyms nearby, so there are plenty off-site options available as well.

Just contact the gym for updated pricing and availability.
