Insee Muay Thai is one of the newest gyms on Phuket’s famous “Fitness Street” (Soi Ta-iad/Soi Taied) in Chalong. It opened on September 1st, 2025, and it’s where Phuket Top Team used to be before it closed down.

Insee Muay Thai is the second gym on the island started by Sinbi Taewoong, who is the founder of Sinbi Muay Thai in Rawai.

Sinbi Taewoong is a former high-level competitor who was ranked at Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadiums, held the KOMA championship, and has extensive experience training both Thai and international students.

Insee Muay Thai Location and Access

As mentioned, Insee Muay Thai is located on Soi Taied, which has gradually morphed into a fitness haven since the establishment of Tiger Muay Thai in 2003.

There is a Mini Big C located directly across from the gym, and you’ll be surrounded by other gyms, healthy cafés, restaurants, spas, massage places, and the Robinson Lifestyle Mall. The area is practical for daily life and recovery.

Only downside about “fitness street” is that it has summer camp vibes as it’s mainly tourists, and the closest top quality beaches (Nai Harn and Kata) are about a 15-20 minute drive away.

Chalong (the district where the gym is located) is approximately 45-60 minutes from the airport.

Getting there:

  • Grab or taxi is the easiest option.
  • From Phuket International Airport: roughly 45 minutes and 800–1,200 THB (depending on traffic).
  • From Patong: about 30 minutes.
  • Many drivers know “Soi Ta-iad” or the landmark Tiger Muay Thai; once on the street, the gym is near Mini Big C.

Training Schedule

Monday–Saturday (closed Sundays)

  • Morning group: 08:00–10:00
  • Private training window: 10:00–15:00
  • Afternoon group: 16:00–18:00
  • Evening private: 18:00–19:00 (sometimes listed extending slightly later)

Group sessions typically include optional running/warm-up, shadowboxing, 5 rounds of pad work with a trainer, bag work, clinching/sparring (especially in the afternoon), conditioning, and stretching. Saturday mornings include traditional Wai Kru.

Children can join regular group classes (no separate kids-only sessions). No booking is required for group classes — just arrive and pay on the day. Privates are best arranged in advance.

Trainers and Fighters

The gym is relatively new (at the time of this writing), so they really haven’t had the time required to produce fighters competing at the highest levels yet.

That being said, with Insee and Sinbi Muay Thai having the same owner, I would assume that the trainers working here have a lot of experience training foreigners.

Insee Muay Thai Accommodation

At the time of this writing, they don’t offer on-site accommodation, but there’s really no need for that due to the location. As mentioned, Insee Muay Thai is situated on Soi Ta-ied (fitness street) and there is an abundance of nearby apartments, hotels & guesthouses in the area.

Prices

The prices are currently 480 baht per group session, 6400/month if you want to train once a day, or 9600/month if you want to train twice daily.

These rates include a 20% discount as they’re running a promo at the time of this writing, so just contact them here get updated pricing, or ask on-site at the front desk if you’re in the area. They offer private one on one sessions as well.
