Manasak Muay Thai Gym is a Muay Thai training facility in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It offers classes focused on traditional Muay Thai training. The gym was opened in 2023 by Manasak Pinsinchai, a former professional fighter.
Manasak, originally from Ubon Ratchathani, trained at the Pinsinchai camp in Bangkok and has fought over 300 times. His titles include Rajadamnern Stadium champion, and WMC World Champion (among several others).
He competed into his late 30s and had been coaching in Chiang Mai at a gym called Santai Muay Thai for quite a while before opening his own facility. The gym is named after him and operates under his direct involvement.
Location of Manasak Muay Thai
The gym is located at 295 Charoen Muang Road in the Wat Ket area of Chiang Mai (east of the Old City, near the Ping River). It is roughly 3 km from the Old City, close to the train station and Night Bazaar, and about 7 km from Chiang Mai International Airport. The area is a local neighborhood with access to restaurants, shops, and accommodation options.
The Trainers and Fighters at Manasak Muay Thai
As mentioned above, the head trainer is Manasak Pinsinchai, who had a very successful fighting career.
His wife, Lisa Brierley, runs the day to day operations at the gym and she is also a fighter. Lisa has competed several times in ONE FC, and she was a champion in an US based promotion called “Lion Fight”. She now competes in RWS (Rajadamnern).
In addition to Manasak and Lisa, there are several other high level fighters who train at the gym. One example is “Chu” who recently won a gold medal at the IFMA World Muay Thai Championship and the title at Channel 7 stadium.
Kru Mie and Kru Ton also compete at both Rajadamnern and channel 7 stadiums, though at the time of this writing, I believe Kru Ton Watcharachai is now working at Sit Cho Muay Thai gym in Pattaya.
Take takeaway is that there are several high level trainers at Manasak Muay Thai and if you look at the photo above, you’ll see that there will be no shortage of fit and experienced trainers to train with and learn from.
Manasak Muay Thai Facility
The gym has an open-air training area with around 18 heavy bags, one boxing/Muay Thai ring, mats, mirrors, and a basic strength section (dumbbells, pull-up bar, bench, kettlebells). There are changing rooms, showers, and a filtered water station. On-site accommodation is available in simple private rooms with air conditioning, fans, refrigerators, and private bathrooms. The facility is located on a main road with motorcycle rental options through the gym.
Training Routine and Prices
Classes run Monday to Saturday with morning sessions starting at 8:00 AM and afternoon sessions at 4:00 PM. Sundays are off. Sessions last about two hours and generally follow a format that includes warm-up (jump rope or optional run, footwork, calisthenics, shadowboxing), bag work, technique drills, pad rounds, clinch work, and sparring.
Saturdays often focus more on sparring. Training is mixed-level and includes both group classes and options for private sessions. The gym works with beginners through to those preparing for fights. Pad work and drills are common features, with adjustments based on class size and participant levels. Fight preparation for the gym’s Thai fighters is handled separately.
The cost for a drop in session is 500baht, and the month rate ranges between 10,000 – 15,000 baht.
Of course, both the training schedule and prices are subject to change so for the latest information, you should contact them via their Instagram or Facebook page (don’t think they currently have a website).
