Mavinn Muay Thai (also known as Singha Mawynn Muay Thai or Singha Mavinn Muaythai) is a modern Muay Thai training camp and equipment brand that began in Bangkok. It was founded in 2016 by Thatchanon Kotchasuwan, a businessman originally from Songkhla in southern Thailand.
Before entering the Muay Thai world, he had spent around ten years involved with a professional football club. He started the gym as a smaller operation in Bangkok’s Lat Pra Khao area and quickly expanded it into a dedicated fighter development camp.
In 2019, the operation moved into a larger, purpose-built four-storey facility in the Bueng Kum district. In 2026, they expanded and built a large training facility just off Thepprasit Road, which is situated between Pattaya and Jomtein.
Mavinn Muay Thai Location
As mentioned, the Mavinn Muay Thai branch in Pattaya is located just off Thepprasit Road (on the side opposite the night market). The gym is situated approximately 2km from the Venum Training Camp – so it’s nice to have so many high-level trainers/fighters within such a close proximity. Easy to cross train between the two gyms if you want.
You can access the Mavinn Muay Thai gym via a 15 baht songtaew if you don’t drive a car or a motorbike and don’t feel like spending much on a Grab taxi. It’s a busy area with plenty of accommodation and food options nearby.
Information about the trainers and fighters
The head trainer at the Pattaya/Jomtein location is Namsaknoi. If you’re unfamiliar with him, he’s considered to be one of the best Muay Thai fighters of all time. He had a 95% win rate over 300 fights and he won multiple lumpinee stadium titles and “fighter of the year” awards.
I popped in for a trial session in mid June 2026, and they had a very good student to trainer ratio at the time. Of course, this was during low season while the gym was in the final stages of construction, so the word isn’t out yet, but I was satisfied with the amount of attention I got.
Tapaokaew Singmawinn is also fighting out of this gym, and at the time of this writing, he is a current champion at Raja stadium. There are several other top-tier fighters who are associated with Mavinn and fight under the “Singmawinn” name (including Superbon), but I’m not sure how often they come train at the Pattaya location.
Training Details and Prices at Mavinn Muay Thai
To stay updated on this, it’s best that you check their official website because prices are of course subject to change, as is the training schedule.
They are currently offering a free trial session, which I personally took advantage of, and after your free trial, follow up sessions are 750 baht each, or you can pay 1000 baht for the day (multiple sessions). Of course, they also offer weekly and monthly rates.
While that may seem well above what many other gyms in the area charge, I will say that the facility is nicer than most, and those rates for training will also include the use of other on-site amenities such as the sauna.
As for the training itself, it was great based on my personal experience. Attentive trainers and good instruction. Things are very structured, but when I went there, nobody took issue with me doing things at my own pace, or wondering off to observe the Thai fighters clinching while the rest of the group was doing cool down exercises. I was recovering from a broken hand at the time (motorcycle accident) so it’s possible that’s why they were lenient with me.
Based on my limited experience, I enjoyed it. Everyone seemed friendly, and I would certainly go back for more sessions next time I’m in the area.
Mavinn Muay Thai Facility
The Mavinn Muay Thai facility in Pattaya is top notch. It’s very large and fully outfitted with brand new Mavinn equipment. It was clean. Plenty of mat space, several rings (even an MMA cage) and there’s a small strength training area with a rack, dumbbell set, kettlebells and other accessories for conditioning. The change rooms were also very clean, and there were several shower stalls.
Beyond the gym, they’ve built a large accommodation area, a pro shop and when I was there, they were working on completing the sauna.
Out of all the facilities I’ve seen so far in Pattaya, Mavinn is top 3 along with Fairtex and Silk (not sure in which order I would rank them).
