The Venum Muay Thai camp in Pattaya, Thailand was founded in 2016 by Mehdi Zatout in partnership with the Venum fight gear brand. Mehdi has over 100 fights and is currently signed to ONE FC where he currently has a record of 4-2. The 2 blemishes on his ONE FC record were against top level Thai fighters (Captain Petchyindee and Nong-O).

Location

Venum Training Camp is situated just off Thepprasit road. The location is easily accessible and convenient, especially if you’re coming from Jomtein beach – which is approximately 3km away. The Thepprasit night market is also just a 3 minute drive (or a 15 minute walk) from the gym.

The exact address of Venum Muay Thai is Soi Khopai 12, Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand.

Notable Trainers and Fighters from the Gym

Mehdi Zatout: The founder and a key figure at the camp, Zatout is a two-time world champion and an active fighter in ONE Championship. With over 100 professional fights, he brings extensive experience and prestige to the gym.

Nabil Anane: A rising star training at Venum, Nabil is an Algerian-Thai fighter born in Pattaya. He began Muay Thai at age 11 and joined Venum at 14 under Zatout’s guidance. At just 17, he became the youngest WBC Muay Thai World Champion in 2022, winning the featherweight title with a second-round knockout. Known for his towering 6-foot-4 frame and devastating knee strikes, he’s a standout talent competing in ONE Championship, where he holds the interim ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship as of early 2025.

Chris Forster: Chris has lived in Thailand for 20+ years and had a very successful fight career. He used to train and fight out of Sor Virapin gym in Bangkok, and since retiring, he has taken up a leading role as a trainer at the Venum Muay Thai gym.

Chris “The Diamond” Forster works alongside Zatout to coach fighters like Nabil Anane. His expertise in Muay Thai adds significant depth to the gym’s training staff, helping develop both amateur and professional fighters with a focus on technical precision.

Sajad Sattari: Sajad is an Iranian Muay Thai fighter who spends a lot of time training at the Venum Muay Thai gym. He is a former champion at Rajadamnern stadium in the 147lb division and he has won a WBC world title.

Por Tor Tor Petchrungrueng: A standout Thai fighter who joined the Venum team, he won the 2016 Thai Fight title in the -67 kg category and the prestigious Isuzu Cup Tournament in 2016. Known for his powerful elbow techniques, he’s a notable name in the camp’s roster.

Accommodation Options

The gym is located just off Thepprasit road, surrounded by an abundance of hotels, apartments, condos and guesthouses. There are a few of them just steps from the gym: KN Resident, Jinda Mansion and Bank Pan Place are a few you can look into if you’re on a budget.

The Venum Muay Thai gym is about a 10-12 minute drive to Jomtein beach so if you want to stay in a luxury seaside condo and just make the daily commute, you can do that too.

If you want to train at Venum, I’d suggest just checking out some of the rooms in person before finalizing your decision. There’s a lot to pick from.

Training Schedule

The Venum Muay Thai gym offers a variety of programs. In addition to Muay Thai, you can participate in BJJ, MMA, Wrestling, Boxing and Strength and Conditioning classes.

Here’s a timetable for the class offerings as of early 2025. Of course this can change at any point so call them and double check if you want clarification.
